Exmark Recalls Quest Riding Mowers Due to a Fire Hazard

Summary Statement

The fuel filters on the 2015n Exmark Quest riding mowers can become brittle and fractured, allowing fuel to leak and posing a fire hazard. One fuel leak has been reported, but no injuries. Exmark toll-free at 800-667-5296 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or online at www.exmark.com and click on “Service & Support” at the top of the page, then on “Safety”, then on “Recalls” for more information. Description The 2015 Quest riding mowers are red black, and gray. “Exmark” is printed on the sides and in front of the operator seat. “Quest” is printed on the front of the riding mowers. The model number and serial number are located on a decal affixed to the frame, under the seat. The recalled mode number is QTS452CEM34200. Quest mower has serial numbers ranging from 315606482 to 315628458. Incidents/Injuries The firm reported one incident of fuel leaking. No injuries have been reported. Remedy Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mowers and contact an Exmark dealer to schedule a free repair. Consumers with registered mowers will receive a letter and a fuel filter, and may contact an Exmark Dealer if they are uncomfortable with the replacement procedure. Sold at Hardware, lawn and garden stores nationwide from November 2014 through October 2015 for about $3,700.
