Bad Practice
This image shows an example of an unsafe work practice.
Summary Statement
If possible use a power stretcher instead of a knee kicker. Carpet installers can potentially suffer from skin infections, acute knee injuries, fluid buildup and bursitis. Installers spend a great deal of time on their knees and should use knee pads to reduce knee strain. Mini-breaks (a few seconds) can help refresh tired muscles and joints.
