Warning Line System for Flat Roofing
Good Practice
This image shows an example of a safe work practice.
Summary Statement
Roofers can use a warning line system on flat roofs. This requires putting the safety flags at least six feet back. A safety monitor must be designated to watch the watch workers when they are working between the roof edge and the warning flags. The monitor must stay behind the flags and have no duties that would interfere with observing the workers.
