Fatality Narrative: Brick Mason Falls From Scaffolding

Summary Statement

A Washington State Department of Labor and Industries FACE program report documents the death of a mason after a fall from a scaffold in 2003. He was trowelling the top of a masonry block wall that was 24 inches above the scaffold plank on which he was standing. He fell forward over the wall and landed on a concrete surface 25 feet below. The report includes recommendations for employers and employees.
