Summary Statement

Mast climbing scaffolding (mast climbers) are power-driven work platforms that climb a vertical mast or tower to reach higher and carry greater loads than traditional scaffolds. When installed and used correctly, they enhance safety and productivity. To help contractors and other stakeholders learn more about this type of scaffold, the Masonry Research to Practice Partnership developed an on-online resource, which includes information on available research, links to manufacturers, safety information, training materials, regulations and requirements, and the news articles.
